During a memorable summer chat in 2023, the dialogue unfolded between the Founder and Director of Gye Nyame Tremontenia “Queen T” Morgan, and Libation's Angela Gibson, contemplating the essential need to bridge the gap within the African Drum and Dance community. United by our shared passion, the term 'Zizazi' emerged—derived from Swahili, signifying Generations. Collaborating with Namu Drum Company, a collective decision was made to enhance our journey together rather than individually. The Zizazi cohort, spanning from 11 to 82 years of age, is geared up for a vibrant celebration of dance, music, and joy. Embrace the rhythm and join in the jubilant revelry with Zizazi!
